Three Short Modules

The modules

The three modules are: Foundations, Skills in Practice and Self & Systems. They are offered online (four sessions per module) or in-person (1.5 – 2 days per module). Completion of all three modules is the equivalent of the full Partnership Brokers Training course. These modules are offered exclusively to organizations on a commissioned basis.

Foundations

The Foundations Module explores the key conceptual frameworks underpinning partnership brokering and offers an opportunity for deeper understanding of your evolving and changing role in the partnering process. This module consists of 4 plenary sessions, self-paced learning and 4 learning group sessions and it can be done online.

Skills in Practice

The Skills in Practice Module is offered over 4 sessions (one as an intensive full day or two half days). It provides the opportunity to practice the key skills involved in partnership brokering and to try out some of the approaches covered in the Foundations Module. This module explores scoping and building, and managing and maintaining partnerships, and reflects on some of the common challenges such as power dynamics and navigating diversity.

Self and Systems

The Self and Systems Module offers the opportunity to dig deeper into an exploration of how our brokering practice links to, and influences, the systems in which we operate. Topics explored include collaborative leadership, mutual accountability, reviewing the partnership process, how best to ensure partnering outcomes are sustained and what is involved in you as a partnership broker or the partners themselves moving on from the partnership.

Fantastic course – one of the best I’ve done in the sector. A great mix of practical tools and consideration of soft skills – all within an environment that felt non-judgemental and building on evidence.

I highly recommend this course to anyone seeking a thorough grasp of partnership brokering. The engaging content, experienced trainers, and interactive sessions have been invaluable in elevating my skills and approach to partnership initiatives. A must for those looking to excel in partnership management.
